FIA in search for new team for 2015 or 2016

The FIA has called for potential new teams to express their interest in joining the grid in 2015 or 2016.
Formula One had a 22-car field in 2013 following the demise of HRT at the end of the previous season, and the FIA has now announced via its official website that it is searching for a new team "to participate at a competitive level in the FIA Formula One World Championship from the start of the 2015 or 2016 season up to 2020 inclusive."
The FIA has called for initial interest to be registered by 3 January 2014 before a full application process will be required.
The release adds: "By way of indication only, the FIA anticipates that full applications will need to be submitted by 10 February 2014, leading to a decision on 28 February 2014. In the event that no applicant is considered suitable by both the FIA and the commercial rights holder, no additional team will be selected."
